This was the wrong map (FL DOT Lee County Surveying-Mapping FMS Area Official Map) when I was searching for the Official FL Transportation map that you referenced, but even this map shows ‘FORT MYERS SHORES DELIMITED AREA’. If Fort Myers Shores weren’t an actual area of notoriety, why would it be on this FDOT survey map? Not to mention that it also shows Alva as a delimited area, but does not even show Olga, nonetheless note it as an area.
